There are several variations of the story on how the dreamcatcher works and was originated. One is that all dreams are caught by the dreamcatcher and the good dreams seep out through the feathers a little by little so they find you and your dreams are good, while the bad dreams are stuck in the net untill the morning light comes and washes all the evil away.
